Job Overview:
- Conduct evaluations of students ranging from preK to 12th grade to assess their functional abilities and identify special needs.
- Develop and execute therapeutic activities to help special education students maximize their educational experiences.
- Attend various meetings, including ER meetings, IEPs, 504 meetings, and others to collaborate with school staff.
- Maintain accurate student records, including daily notes for Medicaid-eligible students, progress monitoring, and other necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff to recommend activities and strategies to support Response to Intervention (RTI)/Tiered approaches.
- Attend pre-referral Student Assistance Team meetings whenever possible.
- Collaborate with other school-based services to support students across all grades.
- Current caseload includes direct service for 38 students and consultative services for 22 students.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must hold a current license in MT.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience working with school-aged children.
- Must acquire all necessary clearances and documentation to work within a MT school district.
- Preferred background or understanding of IEP goal writing, reporting, timelines, and other educational processes.
